Portfolio – Mixed Media

Temptations abound in fiber work. I consider weaving and ply-splitting to be my primary techniques. At a conference in 2012 I was introduced to braiders. This species of fiber artists has a very long history, but I knew little about them and their work. I resisted the temptation to learn…until I decided I could combine braiding with ply-splitting. Add in knotting and needle-felting, occasionally stitching, twining, and cross-knit looping, and I have a magical repertoire of techniques to keep me inspired.
