Portfolio – Fiber Necklaces
Interlacements of all sorts fascinate me. Creating necklaces offers me an opportunity to combine techniques, usually ply-splitting and braiding done on a disk. Globe knots, essentially weaving in the round, provide embellishments and end finishes. I make all of the cords used in these pieces; designing them is an integral part of the overall process.
